1967 Mustang Trans Am series road race car

1967 Mustang Trans Am

1967 Mustang Trans Am series road race car

This car started off as an early C Code Mustang with and automatic which means that it had a 289 with a 2-barrel carburetor.

The car was built using the American Trans Am series 1967 rule book. The idea was for it to be as period correct as possible to how these cars were raced my Shelby America and Holman Moody and to race it in the historic Trans Am class. The only variation from the 1967 rules is the roll cage is built to current rules/safety specs.

The original numbers matching 289 is still in the car however, it is built to Shelby 1967 LeMans specifications and Shelby America claims these engines made 425 hp at 7700 rpms.

The car was built by Revolution Speed Shop in the USA, after the build the car has never been raced thus all parts as well as the engine are still new!

I also have a US title with the car and all taxes have been paid for.
